aRacer SpeedTek Data Collection and Usage Consent Terms

1. Purpose of the Terms
These Terms explain how aRacer SpeedTek (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) collects, processes, and uses data when you use related products and services (including the SpeedTuningX application and ECU devices). By checking your consent or using related functions, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to these Terms.
2. Sources of Data and Transmission Methods
1. Application (SpeedTuningX)
- ECU device identification information (serial number, model, version)
- Tuning parameters and settings
- Operation records and error logs
- Device connection information (USB / BLE / CAN)
2. ECU Device (with network connectivity)
When the ECU device is connected to a network (such as Wi-Fi) and related functions are enabled, the device may transmit the following data:
- Device operational status
- Engine and sensor data (such as RPM, load, etc.)
- Diagnostic information and abnormal records
3. Important Disclosure (Device Connectivity)
Even when the application is not in use, if the ECU is connected to a network and relevant functions are enabled, the device may establish a connection with the server and provide basic identification information. This behavior does not constitute continuous uploading of complete operational data.
4. Purposes of Data Use
- Providing ECU tuning and service functions
- Error diagnosis and technical support
- Product optimization and compatibility improvement
- System security and prevention of unauthorized use
- Data analysis and algorithm optimization (including AI / machine learning)
5. Nature of the Data
The collected data primarily consists of device and technical data and, in principle, does not include directly identifiable personal information such as names or phone numbers. If the data may indirectly identify an individual, the Company will process it in accordance with applicable laws.
6. Data Processing and Storage
- Data may be de-identified or anonymized
- Data may be stored in cloud environments
- Data may be transmitted across borders
7. User Consent and Choices
Required Items (cannot be disabled)
- ECU identification and authorization verification data
- Basic connection and operational data
Optional Items (subject to consent)
- Device and operational data reporting (for functional optimization, such as improving tuning stability, compatibility, and issue analysis; does not include directly identifiable personal information)
- Diagnostic and error data
- AI model training data
8. Withdrawal of Consent
You may withdraw your consent at any time through the application or device settings. Upon withdrawal, data collection will cease (this does not affect previously collected data).
